GOALS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION "OTI GROUP"

 

OTI GROUP is an association dedicated to the development and advancement of the media, public information, and digital communication, as well as to the promotion of democracy, civil society, and human rights.

In fulfilling its mission, the Association aims to create a professional, inclusive, and stimulating environment for the development of journalism, the empowerment of young people, and the promotion of cooperation among media outlets, institutions, civil society organizations, and the professional community.

Ways to achieve goals

The Oti Group Association will achieve its goals and objectives through various activities and businesses, in accordance with its mission, the Statute, the laws and the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The Association will in particular realize:

 

  • Preparation and implementation of specific programs and activities in the fields of media, public information, democracy, civil society, and human rights;

  • Preparation and implementation of local, regional, and international projects, independently or in partnership with other organizations and institutions;

  • Cooperation with civil society organizations, media outlets, public institutions, international organizations, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders;

  • Organization of conferences, roundtables, public debates, forums, panel discussions, seminars, and training sessions;

  • Organization of professional and scientific consultations, as well as engagement of experts from various fields relevant to the Association’s activities;

  • Implementation of education, training, and mentoring programs for young journalists and young media professionals;

  • Creation, development, and maintenance of an interactive digital platform/website through which the Association’s activities, projects, publications, and work results will be presented;

  • Preparation and publication of studies, analyses, research, publications, educational materials, and media contentrelated to the Association’s fields of activity;

  • Organization of campaigns and activities aimed at raising public awareness of issues related to democracy, human rights, media, public information, and civic participation;

  • Cooperation and institutional communication with the relevant national and local authorities, in accordance with the Association’s mission and objectives;

  • Participation in networks, platforms, and initiatives at the local, regional, and international levels that pursue similar objectives and activities;

  • Implementation of other activities that contribute to achieving the Association’s objectives and are consistent with the Statute, applicable legislation, and the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia.

 

Principles of Operation

In pursuing its objectives, OTI GROUP shall be guided by the following principles: professionalism and integrity; transparency and accountability; professional independence and impartiality; respect for human rights and freedoms; equality and non-discrimination; inclusiveness and civic participation; adherence to professional and ethical standards in the media; cooperation and partnership; and respect for the laws and the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia.

OTI GROUP aims to build a sustainable platform for the development of the media and modern information practices, to empower new generations of journalists and media professionals, and to promote democratic values, civil society, and human rights.
